To address increasing requirements for greater brake output and improved NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) performance, TRW has developed two calipers that fit within the environment of a conventional brake caliper package while providing greater torque output. Previously, the typical approach to achieve greater torque output was to increase rotor and wheel size, which increased cost and weight.

Both of these designs incorporate TRW's innovative pinned-abutment pad guiding approach to improve NVH performance. In comparison to competitive products, these designs also offer increased brake friction pad area which improves durability performance.
